On 3 June 2025, KDPW obtained another accreditation authorising it to issue LEIs to legal entities registered in Armenia.
The extension of the accreditation is part of the LEI service development strategy aimed at seeking new opportunities for growth, including by increasing the geographical coverage, developing distribution channels and, consequently, increasing the number of issued and renewed LEIs. At the same time, it is an important element in strengthening the competitiveness of the LEI service and entering new foreign markets.
The extension of the accreditation closes the preparatory stage and enables KDPW to start working with the Central Depository of Armenia (CDA) to establish a local LEI issuance service. This partnership responds to a growing demand from entities operating in Armenia. The joint initiative aims to improve the availability of LEIs and support the development of transparency in the financial market in the region.
In February 2025 KDPW has launched a new website and LEI issuance application.
Currently KDPW manages a database of over 34.7k LEIs.
The LEI (Legal Entity Identifier) is a 20-character alpha-numeric globally unique legal entity identifier compliant with ISO17442. Each LEI is linked to key information about the legal entity that holds the LEI, which enables the identification of legal entities participating in financial transactions worldwide.
The reference data of entities which have been issued LEIs by KDPW are published on the KDPW website and disclosed to the GLEIF. The data are kept up to date. If you have any doubts about reference data published by KDPW, report them. We will check them for you!
