Six weeks before the expiry date of the LEI, the KDPW system will automatically generate an LEI renewal request/order. Based on the automatic order, KDPW will check that the company data assigned to the LEI has not changed and that it matches the data in the relevant register. If the check is successful, payment details will be sent to the email address of the person managing the LEI. Once the payment has been received, the validity of the LEI is renewed for another year. If you pay for the LEI for consecutive years, the LEI will be automatically renewed once a year.
In addition, a Renewal section in the KDPW application is made available in the account of the user who manages the LEI 60 days before the expiry of the LEI, where the user can place an order to renew the LEI. The order must be verified by KDPW. KDPW will first of all check that the company data assigned to the LEI has not changed and that it matches the data in the relevant register.
