Are civil law partnerships required to have an LEI?

Civil law partnerships are not required to have LEIs but they are not exempt from the trade reporting obligation. One of the partners is required to have an LEI. Trades of a civil law partnership should be reported using the LEI of one of the partners. If none of the partners has an LEI, one of them should apply for an LEI as an individual who carries out business activities.
