Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych S.A. (KDPW) has been operating since 1994 providing services as an important part of the Polish financial market infrastructure.
KDPW is the only authorised central securities depository in Poland and, in addition to issuing LEIs, it provides a wide range of post-trade services, including trade reporting services.
KDPW and KDPW_CCP clearing house form the KDPW Group.
KDPW has been issuing LEIs since 2016 and holds the status of a Local Operating Unit (LOU) accredited by the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF). KDPW issues LEIs to legal entities registered in as many as 35 countries. We operate in all EU countries as well as in Armenia, Northern Ireland, Iceland, the Kingdom of Great Britain, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Ukraine.
KDPW is the only Polish entity authorised to issue LEIs.
In November 2024, GLEIF presented KDPW with the Award for Best Performing LOU. This distinction is in recognition of KDPW's commitment to maintaining the highest quality of data standards and providing an exemplary LEI service.
